The World of Legends shown in an unusual way.

On Friday, 8th of March 2019, students of 4th – 6th classes and their teachers went to the Music Institute of the Resovian University. They took part  in a performance „Polish Legends’, prepared by the Vroclavian Theater , called In-Art. The authors of this show have reached to the roots of our national tradition in a very atypical way. They have shown some legends (in  a computer games idea) to remind a young spectator  a shrouded in secrecy the history of our homeland as an eternal source of the national identity.

The performance was devided into four parts. Each of them is shown as a next „level’ of the game. The spectator finds out about a creation of the Polish country, why mice ate Popiel the King,  who of us will need Madej’s bed and why Poznań has its bugle call.

The participation of our students in the play was not only connected with a theatrical education but comprised a next step to the realisation of the project From “MYTHOS” to “LOGOS”: Educational Approaches to European folk myths and legends. A main objective of this project is to discover universal messages and morals hidden in texts which have been ingrained in the Polish and European culture for ages.
